A disastrous mega-flood is coming to California, experts say, and it could be the most expensive natural disaster in history

(CNN)Many Californians fear the “Big One,” but it might not be what you think.

It’s not an earthquake. And it isn’t the mega drought. It’s actually the exact opposite.

A megaflood.

A new study by Science Advances shows climate change has already doubled the chances of a disastrous flood happening in California in the next four decades. And experts say it would be unlike anything anyone alive today has ever experienced.

Has to be one of the best jobs in the world, a weather person. They are rarely right, predictions range from 50% chance of rain 50% chance of no rain – in spite of they’re inaccuracies, they make big money.

The salaries of Chief Meteorologists in the US range from $26,122 to $696,998 , with a median salary of $124,824 . The middle 57% of Chief Meteorologists makes between $124,826 and $315,434, with the top 86% making $696,998. Not toooo bad for never having to be right.

The ideal state for a weatherman is Arizona. This guy can’t video tape one of his forecasts, go on vacation for a month, keep replaying forecast over and over because it’s always the same.

For the most part the weather forecast changes on a hourly so their predictions rarely correct.

What we have here is a prognosticating forecasters telling us we are going to have a mega-flood in California in the next 4 decades. HELLOOOOO!! I would suggest to them to get tomorrow’s forecast correct don’t worry about what it’s going to do in 40 years. The tragic way our world is evolving, we are lucky if mankind as we know it still exists then.

My shot in the dark prediction is, the stock market in the next 40 years will be at its lowest point in history, BUTT at the same time, just to cover my ass, it may be a it’s highest. How was that for reading the crystal ball??
