Radical as usual but partially right …

Fonda was given the infamous nickname “Hanoi Jane” after posing atop an anti-aircraft gun during her 1972 visit to North Vietnam.

When she appeared on the Kelly Clarkson show recently, she was asked how she branched out to other areas of activism, to which the actress suggested it wasn’t much of a stretch.

“Well, you know, you can take anything – sexism, racism, misogyny, homophobia, whatever, the war,” the actress said. “And if you really get into it, and study it and learn about it and the history of it and everything’s connected. There’d be no climate crisis if it wasn’t for racism.”

Just like her stand against the Vietnam War, she was partially right, we should have never been there. Her biggest sin was demonstrating, against the country at allowed her to be who she was.

It has always been my opinion most of the discourse throughout the world, somewhere down the line is interconnected by power and greed. But I am going to have to put the nix on her 100% theory about the climate crisis and racism. I really don’t see the connection. The only connection there can possibly be is the money people that control climate change and the reluctance of countries to step forward and do what is necessary to change it. At this point in time, if it was even possible it would cost trillions of dollars. I think we are we passed trying to reverse the conditions; at this point, I think I only hope is to control them.

This is where she may be partially right. We cannot put the entire blame on pollution and the climate crisis on racism. Some possibly, but not all.

“Where would they put the poison and the pollution?” Fonda continued. “They’re not gonna put it in Bel Air. They’ve got to find someplace where poor people or indigenous people or people of color are living. Put it there. They can’t fight back. And that’s why a big part of the climate movement now has to do with climate justice.”

If we look hard enough and long enough, we can probably find fault with Mother Teresa.

Some of Fond’s causes are worthwhile, but what if she were a 9 to 5er who had the work for a living, I don’t know how much of a believer she would be.
