Consumers; beware of Sam the Scam ….

Just the point of interest/caution I thought I would pass on to the followers of the Goomba Gazette.

About 10 minutes ago I got a call from some funny-talking dude named Sam (fake name) that claimed he worked for Spectrum. He asked me if my bill was too much or if I had any problems with Spectrum that he could help me with. Suspicion right off the bat.

Sam the Scam claimed he could knock off between 50 and $75 a month from my bill (my bill is totally outrageous), (SUSPICIOUS) Like all the other fools in this world that get hooked on a product, if you want something from the corporate thieves bad enough, I guess you have to pay the freight.

My bill way back when I signed up with Spectrum was about 60$ a month; now it is 250$. Highway robbery.

Sam asked me for some pertinent personal information about my account which I did not give him. I asked the weasel; how could I know that he was actually a Spectrum representative and not a scam artist. He assured me he worked for Spectrum, so I asked him for his badge identification number.

I told Sam the scam is going to call Spectrum directly instead of giving him any type of information.  I was suspicious from the onset of our conversation.

Sam the scam told me his ID number was AP 007. Sam did not seem too pleased that I was calling his alleged company directly

By now you have to know the end of the story. Sam the scam was as I suspected a lowlife telemarketer trying to hustle me.

Definitely, the public has to be very suspicious of anyone they talk to; especially when the call is an incoming call instead of you calling someone direct.

If you ever receive a phone call from anyone and they sound suspicious, tell them you will call their company directly instead of you gifting them with any personal information.  This is the world we live in folks; no honor, no integrity, no honesty.

A good majority of deceit and dishonesty has been born through the Internet and cell phones. It is a toss-up, but if I had to guess which one of them was worse, I would be stuck. They are both equally as bad. It is really a shame that something with such good intentions from its inception can be so evil. Again, I am one of the Billions of fools who took a bite out of the forbidden fruit and have to live with it. (we all know it was not an apple).

Come on Adam tell us what really went on between you and Eve.

Spectrum is not alone in this beating the public, as a matter of fact, they’re probably one of the best of the worst thieves out there.

Always remember when you are shopping around, either in restaurants department stores or wherever you squander your money, if you served in the military, always ask if they have discounts for military veterans. You would be surprised as to how many do, and maybe more surprised by those that don’t.

As of now, Spectrum is not one of the most generous companies, especially with their cell service. I have to say, their service is great but outrageous.

Don’t forget; without our servicemen who served their country with dignity, if it were not for them none of our freedoms would be possible. That is an entirely whole different story

As the old saying goes; don’t be fooled by people offering you something that sounds too good to be true. The Trojan horse is a perfect example of, what appears to be a gift, most of the time is not.

The Trojan Horse was a wooden horse said to have been used by the Greeks during the Trojan War to enter the city of Troy and win the war. The Trojan Horse is not mentioned in Homer’s Iliad, with the poem ending before the war is concluded, and it is only briefly mentioned in the Odyssey.

Sam the Scam, good try today. If you want to be more successful you gotta drop the accent.
