A few of the above may be a little extreme in some case, but a lot of them are hedging on reality.
Once that metaphoric snowball is rolling out of control, picking up speed down the slope, headed for the lodge, it is almost impossible to stop it before it wipes out everything in it’s path. So goes complacency.
