Dr. Sanjay Gupta: Why Joe Rogan and I sat down and talked — for more than 3 hours
According to the Good Doctor, he had a very enlightening conversation with Joe Rogan; side kick of the MMA. The interview/meeting lasted 3 hours with no outside distractions.
The long and the short of it; both men stated their cases about Covid-19 and both were right in their own opinions.
Conversations like this should be the norm instead of the exception. There can be dramatic accomplishments made if people would sit across from one anther in a civilized manner and exchange their views, while respecting it (not necessarily agreeing) and come away better informed, without out hostility toward the other.
GUPTA: I guess a small part of me thought I might change Joe Rogan’s mind about vaccines. After this last exchange, I realized it was probably futile. His mind was made up, and there would always be plenty of misinformation out there neatly packaged to support his convictions. Truth is though, I am still glad I did it. My three-hour-long conversation wasn’t just with Rogan. If just a few of his listeners were convinced, it will have been well worth it.
Gupta still says yes to getting the shot and Rogan still is on the fence. My position still is and always will remain; if you do not regard your safety and health because of your own convictions; think of your fellow man. How much simpler can it be?? Now if a person is afraid and a coward to have a needle stuck in their arm, go take the oral dose.
Man to man conversations are very productive and therapeutic. There should be more conversations and less rockets in this world to settle differences, or at least understand/respect the other side views.
Another issue I will agree wholeheartedly about; the government and many of the so called health authorities like JAWS (Fauci in Italian) are confusing the hell out of the public with the revised opinions on a daily basis.
COMMONSESNE is the name of the game folks!!
