If they didn’t have to shell-out billions to all the victims, they would not be broke.
At one time the Catholic church was one of the richest entity in the world; but because they totally ignored/covered up the disgraceful pedophile situation, they lost billions of dollars in payouts and are on the verge of bankruptcy. What goes around, comes around.
I don’t think that any organization, regardless of who they are, that puts themselves that type of predicament should be considered for any kind of financial support.
