The Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn is turning to the Supreme Court over coronavirus restrictions that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo imposed that include limits on how many congregants can gather for religious services.
Plaintiffs in the cases against the archdiocese have argued that the Catholic Church is a single entity, and that the Vatican should be liable for any damages …Payments to victims · Bankruptcies · Portland · Ecclesiastical Province …
If they didn’t have to shell-out billions to all the victims, they would not be broke.
At one time the Catholic church was one of the richest entity in the world; but because they totally ignored/covered up the disgraceful pedophile situation, they lost billions of dollars in payouts and are on the verge of bankruptcy. What goes around, comes around.
I don’t think that any organization, regardless of who they are, that puts themselves that type of predicament should be considered for any kind of financial support.
I often wondered how the people that keep dropping dead presidents in the Sunday collection basket feel, like fools or what??
