I do happen to agree with Oprah; partially. My question is; when was the last time I heard her or any of her influential friends call for the black community to reduce or cut out crime??
I will agree that there are VERY UNFORTUNATE occasions when some crazy/rouge gets out of line and assaults or kills a black person; but on the whole that is a rare incident. The vast majority of the times there is an incident between the cops and a black person, is when there has been a crime committed.
The good cops (95 %) of them do their job in a professional manner; it is the 05 % that are the problem. It is imperative that they be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law.
I would suggest to Oprah that she and her pack get together, (being she is in the business and certainly can afford it) and make several informational videos, asking or telling the criminal element in the black community, they have a great deal of culpability in the conditions that exist in making peace between races in the USA.
The are NOT without sin!! If this single point is never addressed, the flames of the rioting and racial discourse will never go out. Life is a two way street. Denial is one of the most dangerous enemies a person can have.
I am in no way dismissing what happen during the slavery years; it was atrocious and never should have happened. That being said; there is now way possible to change the past, but if mankind all works together, the future can be whatever we want to be.
Being a celebrity Oprah definitely has the power and resources to do as I suggested. It would make all the difference in the world.
Even the most bigoted fools in the world have to agree on this. If all of us are to selfish and ignorant to do whatever we have to to make changes; at least, let us get together and make the future a better place for our kids an grand-kids to come up in.
SHAME ON ALL THE SON-A-BITCHES THAT KEEP THE RACIAL STRIFE GOING!!
Hell; you don’t have to like me and I do not have to like you. BUTT if we both respect one another, that is the key to peace. As a matter of fact, I coined this phrase myself.
If everyone likes you, you are doing something wrong.
RESPECT and EDUCATION are the names of the solution.
I know there are bastards out there that want to keep burning down the town, just to reach their own nefarious goals. They should all be hunted down like the criminals they are and locked up in that deep-dark pit for the duration.
