Poll: Nearly two-thirds of Americans support protests against racial injustice
WASHINGTON – Nearly two-thirds of Americans support the recent protests against racial injustice, a new Gallup poll released Tuesday revealed.
In terms of support for the protests, 92% of Black Americans said they support the protests, while 89% of Asian Americans, 70% of Hispanics and 59% of white respondents said they do.
I love the way SHE, Savannah Behrmann deliberately would not label the demonstrators as rioters. Very small intentionally omissions like this is what keeps the fire going.
Anyone that can classify what these fools are doing a peaceful demonstrations has to have their heads examined. They are and should be considered all out very destructive/lethal riots.
Anyone that denies the facts of the mistreatment the black people went through is a fool. Some of the videos I have seen, make my skin crawl. I put them in the same isle as the fools who deny the Holocaust happened.
But when we look for a solution for any reason, we have to look at the whole picture and not at just what we want to see.
Have the blacks been mistreated for many years?? Yes. Can the past be changed?? No. Can the future be written differently?? Yes. How is that accomplished?? Reform, not rioting.
Were a good number of the slave traders black who sold their own people into slavery?? Yes. Why should the white an take the entire rap??
Is the black population 15% of the USA’s population?? Yes. Why are 51% of the prisoners in jail are black?? This is an issue that most black people do not ant to hear or admit to. If all the facts in any situation are camouflaged, we NEVER get to the real root of the problem.
Have the demonstrators made their point about police abuse and getting it under control?? I say yes. Demonstrators and rioters are two different animals. Demonstrate, yes.. Riot no.
Will the powers to be act on the reforms and set the world right?? I would hope so, BUTT I never said they were that smart.
Will police brutality ever end?? Never, the country is too big and too crime ridden to stop all criminal activity. If there was no criminal activity, there could be no police intervention. No police intervention, no abuse. But that makes to much sense.
I say the judicial system in many cases is the criminals best friend. They are arrested @ 0900 and back on the street @ 1000 hrs commuting more crimes.
If any criminal knows that the penalty for their crimes is very minimal or they are released one hour after being arrested; where is the crime deterrent??
ALBANY, N.Y. … While New Jersey, California, Illinois and other states have limited the use of bail, New York is one of the few states to abolish bail for many crimes without also giving state judges the discretion to consider whether a person poses a threat to public safety in deciding whether to hold them.Dec 31, 2019
This is not an uncommon practice for some criminals:
Feb 18, 2020 – TROY, N. Y. (WRGB) – Three arrests in one day, spread across seven hours and just … has the Troy Police Union in New York calling for changes to bail reform laws. … Then just before 4:30 p.m., they say he hit another person with a brick. … They say they caught him committing the same crime hours later.
The criminals are laughing at the authorities. Unless we call them exactly what they are, a pig a pig and a horse a horse, these riots will never be brought under control.
It is hard to fathom that fools like Warren Wilham (AKA Billy DeBlasio) really believe in their cause. If they truly do, their only motive can be to destroy the country and law and order.
Mayor Bill de Blasio doubled down on his calls to restore a judges’ ability to exercise discretion under the new bail reform law, a position that’s … De Blasio doubles down on calls to amend new bail reform law … No Pool?
Unless the police police the police (my suggestion months ago), this abuse will never end.
If the black communities leaders don’t take the bull by the horns and label what their criminal element is out of control, this will never end.
What is the answer?? 1st and foremost, the media will have to call a pig a pig and a horse a horse and exactly what they are. When they are skirting the issue by NOT identifying the situation exactly what it is, they are adding gasoline to the fire.
It is not only USA Today that is biased in their reporting; they all do it. If we do not take the bull by the horns and direct him in the right direction, he will drive us in the ground.
