Do they know the meaning of a siren …

Deadly NJ police chases kill innocent victims, catch few crooks

Many police pursuits across the nation end tragically and disproportionately affect black people. Chases often start with a traffic violation.

My question is; AND?? Should anyone know that when a police car is chasing them with the siren blasting, they are supposed to pull over. It doesn’t matter white – black or yellow, when a cop car is chasing you with the siren blasting, you are supposed to pull over.

New Jersey police pursuits killed at least 63 people in the past decade and injured more than 2,500. Nearly half the people injured were bystanders and cops.

New Jersey ranks second in the nation behind Louisiana for the percentage of African Americans killed during police pursuits since 2009, an Asbury Park Press and USA TODAY NETWORK New Jersey investigation found. New Jersey leads the nation over the last 20 years.

My question is; AND?? Do they know that when a police car is chasing them with the siren blasting, do they know they are supposed to pull over.

There must be a reason anyone would not pull over if a cop was chasing them; most probably trying to get away from a criminal offense.

As we well know, one criminal offense usually leads to another. No crime, no reason not to pull over.

New Jersey ranks second in the nation behind Louisiana for the percentage of African Americans killed during police pursuits since 2009. That must mean the blacks are committing the the highest percentages of the crimes. No crime, no reason to run. Don’t run, no deaths. Sounds pretty simple to me.
