Feds raid fentanyl and heroin mill in affluent New York City suburb
If anyone wants to live in a complacent/undisciplined society where the criminals are running the show; they are pissing up a rope. It all comes back down hitting them in the face.
Federal agents busted a heroin and fentanyl mill in an affluent New York City suburb and arrested five people, according to reports.
The bust Friday in the Westchester County town of Ardsley resulted in the seizure of five kilograms of fentanyl and six kilograms of heroin.
“The fentanyl alone has the potency to kill nearly over 2 million people.” Ray Donovan of the Drug Enforcement Administration said, according to Westchester Journal News.
If the criminals are not concerned about the people they kill, why should the legal system be concerned with putting to death the people that sell it?? 2 million people.
The DEA charged Braulio Mata, 31, Jose Garcia, 44, Yarly Mendoza-Delorbe, 20, Ramon Arcena Alfe, 47, and Dinnell Duarte Hernandez, 32, with possession of heroin and fentanyl.
Unless the judicial system makes these killers of society think twice about committing crimes, whose far reaching effects are destroying and in some cases killing millions of people , they are NEVER going to put an end them.
The death penalty should be imposed for particular crimes committed that leave such a disastrous impact on society. It is not enough just to sentence a person to death; it MUST be carried out immediately, not 20 years down the road.
Especially, with the advent of DNA evidence, the criminals is guilty WAY BEYOND the shadow of a doubt, BUTT are STILL permitted to have appeal after appeal, many eventually get their death sentences commuted to life.
Life in prison for a good percentage of the incarcerated is like sending them on a life long paid vacation at the tax-payers expense. They never had it so good. When they get sent up, it is like old home week. 50% of their homies are there to welcome them.
They get all the sex they want (either from one of the other inmates or conjugal visits) – free room and board – air-conditioned and heated facilities – better food than most of them are used to – workout facilities – libraries where they hone their resonator skills so they can harass the legal system and much more. Tell me, what is the deterrent to them committing a crime.
Being that the faint of heart would never approve of the death penalty in many circumstances; there has to be some other means of punishment that gets their attention.
Look at some of the other countries and see how they enforce their drug laws:
Misuse of Drugs Act (Singapore)
The possession, consumption, manufacturing, import, export, or trafficking of these and other controlled drugs in any amount are illegal. Persons caught with less than the Mandatory Death Penaltyamounts of these controlled substances face penalties ranging from caning (up to 24 strokes) to life in prison.
The Criminal Code of Laos penalizes possession of narcotics under Article 135. A recent revision of the code raised the maximum penalty for drug offenses — from 10 years imprisonment, the law now calls for death by firing squad for those found guilty of possessing more than 500 grams of heroin. Are harsher penalties the answer to crime deterrent?? I really don’t know. What I do know, what the authorities are doing is not working. There is nothing in place, an attention grabber for the criminal to consider their course of action. It is quite possible, it would not make any difference to some of them. Committing crime is in the DNA regardless.
Personally, if I knew there was an extreme penalty attached to a crime, like a death sentence, it would make me consider of my actions a lot more closely before I committed them. BUTT that requires common-sense and being civilized.
