What kind of animal would having sex with a comatose patient? I guess that is a stupid question, the world is full of them.
SEGWAY INTO THE MEDICAL COMMUNITY
That disgraceful act just goes to show the legitimacy and integrity of some nursing homes. A major issue, there are probably too many nursing homes (approximately 16,000) around the country for the government police properly. Not to mention the inspectors that receive their monthly envelopes to turn their heads. Some probably never go into the homes to inspect them. We are inundated with corruption at every turn.
Many times, the operators of nursing homes strap their patients into a wheel chair, dope them up, so through out the day they are not a nuisance to the staff. I have witnessed this first hand. We definitely can place that in the ABUSE column.
Isn’t that a sad commentary on how some poor souls spend their final days?? There is no dignity in dying.
It is not that the homes are not paid well, they are making bushels of money. Their greed is overwhelming.
How much do nursing homes make a year? Those costs can be staggering. In 2016, a private room cost an average of $253 daily, or more than $92,000 annually, according to a 2016 survey by Genworth Financial. A semi-private room ran $225 daily, or $82,125 per year. Nov 16, 2016
For that kind of money, one would expect top notch care, BUTT sad to say, in many cases it is just the opposite. For that kind of money a person could stay in a 4 **** hotel and have great room service.
A very good example of neglect is: https://www.azcentral.com/story/opinion/op-ed/laurieroberts/2019/01/09/woman-vegetative-state-gets-pregnant-and-no-one-notices-phoenix-hacienda-healthcare/2530751002/
Someone or should I say, a lot of people were not watching the store.
Just an opinion: How can anyone allow a family member to be in a vegetative state for decades. Not days, weeks, months or years, decades. If by some miracle the lady did come out of the coma , she would not be-able to function at a normal level. As long as the facility is collect their monthly check, they are in no hurry to pull the plug. At some point, when it is time, it is time, we must let go.
I have always been of the opinion, EVERYONE should be issued a pill on the day they are born. They should carry it with them their entire life and it should be their decision on when to pop it and end it all.
Why should my life or anyone else life be controlled by complete strangers, like some in the medical community that are only interested in keeping someone alive for the fee.
We all know it is NOT just nursing home that are raking in the BIG BUCK$, it is the medical community as a whole.
Through the years, the Hippocratic Oath the doctors take when they get their shingle has been grossly abuse by many. What used to be the first concern of the medical community , the patient first, has done an about face, now it is making the buck$, buck$ before welfare. It is a gigantic business where the stock holder control the industry. The bottom line is their.
I know that is going to piss off a lot of the SAW-BONES (doctors) out there, BUTT facts are facts.
Do hospitals make a lot of money? Seven of the top 10 most profitable hospitals in the United States are nonprofit facilities that each netted more than $150 million from caring for patients in 2013, according to a study published Monday. … “All hospitals should make a little profit,” Bai said, “but some hospitals are obtaining outrageous profits.”
This non-profit they hide behind is an absolute joke. All it is is a huge tax shelter. What is a non-profit you may AXE??
What does non profit organization mean?A nonprofit organization is a business granted tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). … Nonprofits pay no income tax on the donations they receive or on any money they earn through fundraising activities.
How about those apples?? Yet with all the money some of these institutions are making, the quality of care they provide has a lot to be desired.
Poor care is not the most flagrant condition existing in the medical community. Topping the list in my opinion are unnecessary operations.
Why do surgeons continue to perform unnecessary surgery?
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5234149/by PF Stahel – 2017
- Jan 13, 2017 – More than twenty years later, in 1976, the American Medical Association (AMA) called for a congressional hearing on unnecessary surgery, claiming that there were “2.4 million unnecessary operations performed on Americans at a cost of $3.9 billion and that 11,900 patients had died from unneeded operations
People AXE; What percentage of surgeries are unnecessary? In fact, unnecessary surgeries might account for 10% to 20% of all operations in some specialties, including a wide range of cardiac procedures — not only stents, but also angioplasty and pacemaker implants — as well as many spinal surgeries. Jun 19, 2013
These statistics are from 6 years ago. I can imagine that the numbers are a dramatically higher now. Tell me, what kind of sons-a-bitch would cut someone open and sew them back up just for the profit, knowing that an operation was not necessary?? Gotta be way down on the food chain.
The medical community, has evolved into the same position law-enforcement is in the respect.trust department. On a whole, the vast percentage of people in their ranks are good, stand-up people that have the health and well-being of mankind as their main objective. BUTT, there is always the BUTT. The rogue doctors, hospitals and nursing facilities give the rest of their communities a very bad name. When all of the dust settles, the general public gets gun-shy/not trusting in dealing with many of them. When we start taking the trust factor out of our relationship with certain people that are supposed to be respected, that is a gigantic step backwards.
It is an unfortunate fact of life. We have to be very careful on who we entrust the care of our family members.
Just because they wear a white jacket and have a stethoscope hanging around their necks, does not make a person trust-worthy. Fortunately, there are more good than bad, so far.
It seems to be an epidemic at all levels. Everywhere we turn, there is someone try to put the screws to us. Every time we walk out the door we must be on guard. Parents can’t even feel at ease sending their kids to school, fearing they may not come home. Society has regressed so much in the last few years it is frightening.
A few years back, I would see parent standing in front of their house with their kids waiting for the bus. I would say to myself, what hell is the matter with them. Let the kids grow up. Now I know why they are so protective. These brazen bastards operate right under our nose. It is a frightening world we live in.
We used to be-able to trust, priest – cops – doctors – gym teachers – councilors – teachers – athletic directors and a multitude of other professional people. NOWWWW…
SOOO, who can we really trust?? No One!! Trust has to be earned over time. No matter what the relationship is; it should never be a given automatically.
A little tip to making sure your loved ones are safe and secure in a nursing facility is; daily unannounced visits at different times of the day. Do not be predictable. It will not take too long to determine the quality of the facility.
If you smell a rat there probably is one present. Do not hesitate to complain to the proper authorities or report incidents that do not look suitable. THEN, follow up on your complaints. Never take it for granted, they corrected your problem.
What a degenerate world we live in when a care-giver has sex with a comatose person. SICK?? You betcha.
