Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams helped torch state flag during college protest
While in college in 1992, Abrams was one of the people in a group of protesters that set the state flag on fire. Now she is throwing her bonnet in the ring wanting to be the governor of the state she once hated.
It seems that there are boat loads of people out there whose past has come back to haunt them.
Can or should Abrams past foolishness be a factor in the race?? Yes and no. The only reason I say no is; the flag she helped burn had a Confederate flag as part of its design, which many thought it represented racism.
On the other side of the coin, there are people that thought/think just the opposite.

In my opinion, we can not totally judge anyone by their indiscretions they committed in life, especially at an early age, unless it is a capital offense or a serious crime.
Most people mature when they get older and change their prospective on life. Some fools never do. A tossup.
I wish the Georgia Peach good luck. Maybe she is the states best choice??
