California bill to expand gun-takeaway law advances to governor’s desk
It is long over due that Jer and Company came up with a COMMONSENSE solution to curbing crime by becoming proactive.
I am very surprised that the ACLU hasn’t jumped on his back protesting the rights of potential criminals. Hasn’t that been one of their strong point, sticking up for wack-jobs??
California lawmakers approved a bill this week that would expand the list of people who could ask a court for a gun violence restraining order, reports said.
AB2888 passed the state Senate 25-12. It would allow co-workers and school personnel to petition a court to temporarily remove guns from someone they believe poses a danger, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Being proactive has been one of my recommendation for years on crime prevention. Stop it before it happens. I would take Jer’s movement a couple of steps further and, not arrest BUTT detain anyone that MAY be a danger to society until they are thoroughly examined and deemed safe to walk the streets.
Let’s face it folks. Crime in this country has increased exponentially and is not slowing down. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Take off the kid gloves and do WHATEVER is necessary to assist the prevention of crime. The safety of the citizens comes long before the rights of criminals.

SACRAMENTO — California lawmakers approved a bill Tuesday that would allow co-workers and school personnel to petition a court to temporarily remove guns from someone they believe poses a danger….
NOWWWW; if people want to walk on egg shells and not do what is necessary to prevent crimes, they must suffer the consequences. COMMONSENSE. Possibly somewhere down deep in the OLD pot smoking brain of Jer’s (that what his friends call him) there may be some latent sense lingering after all.
Three cheers for Jer (that is what his friends call him).
Hats off to Jer this morning.
As demonstrated, I try to be as fair as possible regardless who the person or topic is when it comes to criticism or acknowledgement. Do good, get an Italian thumbs up – do poorly and get an Italian thumbs down.
Buongiorno – Vi auguro una buona giornata
