Remember when ….

Apple becomes the first $1 trillion U.S. company

Years back the M WORD was huge, in a league all by itself – as time passed and technologies advanced , the B WORD became gargantuan/unheard of  – now for the first time in USA’s history we are looking at a company that can lay claim to the T WORD.

Apple has hit the $1 trillion mark, becoming the first publicly traded company in the U.S. to reach 13 figures in terms of market value.

Now, if a person or a company is in the M WORD category, just like a homely looking gal with a  huge set of 38’s, no one even pays attention.

If they are in the B WORD bracket, they still has some credibility. BUTT if they are in the T WORD bracket, they have a special place in the financial history books that not many will ever achieve.

Apple shares closed at $207.39 Thursday, pushing the company to a market capitalization past $1 trillion. The share price first hit the magic number just before noon, before falling back to around $206, then rising past $207 again just after 1:30 p.m. A company’s market value is calculated by multiplying its current share price by the total number of shares investors hold.

I can bet that this milestone for Apple has really frosted Jeff Baby’s balls.  Bezos with his personal wealth and his online retail company is worth a staggering over $880 billion.  What a $#@&^% piker. BUTT don’t feel bad, it will not be too long before the bald-headed super-capitalist will hit the T WORD.

Is the driving force behind these tycoons just to be successful or is it greed that consumes them?? I think, initially, they wanted to be successful, BUTT the more the gluttons like them and the  Walton’s’ make, the more they wanted. Then it becomes a pissing contest between rivals to out-due one another. Enough is never enough for some people.

This scenario really does not apply to Apple because they are in a category of their own and are not leaving a wake of destruction in their path.

With Amazon and Walton, they are just voracious gluttons sitting at the table of life jamming everything and anything they can down their throats, not being concerned with who they are putting out of business. They have put thousands of  Mom & Pop stores out of business. When is enough enough??

Although I don’t think that Bill Gates is the envious kind of person, I am sure that he has felt a little anxiety not having his company be the 1st T WORD in the world.

USA Today

Mind boggling statistics:

How much does a trillion dollars weigh? Well, one dollar bill weighs about one gram. So, one trillion dollar bills weigh one trillion grams. Convert grams to pounds and you’re looking at about 2.2 billion pounds or over 630,000 mid-sized cars, of which you could purchase quite a few. (If the cars were an average price — say $20,000 each — you could buy all of them…385 times.)

The way I see it; it is a shame that there are so many people in this world that are starving and don’t know where they are going to sleep that night. On the other-side of the coin, there are some with so much money, they really don’t know exactly what they are worth; most of whom are as cheap as a Robert Halls suit.

To many of them, I say more power to them and they should be proud of their successes, BUTT I would like to see them share their wealth, not being obsessed with monopolizing the entire world.  When is enough ever enough??

As the world turns, the rich keep getting richer and the poor continue to sit on the bottom branch, getting dumped on.

The first in line of great successes was the M number – then came the B number – now we have the T number, next in line will be the quadrillion – quintillion – sextillion – septillion – octillion – nonillion, and decillion. I really doubt if we will ever see anyone or company worth a quadrillion – quintillion – sextillion – septillion – octillion – nonillion, or decillion; BUTT whoever thought we would live to see the T number.

Let us look at the reality of it. No matter how much $oldi any rich slob is worth, the day is going to come when the lid slams in their face, just like every other person ever born. Regardless of what they are worth, they WILL NOT be able to buy their way out of the inevitable, their date with the Grim Reaper.

All dressed up and nowhere to go.

My suggestion; you can’t take it with you so, spread it around and make a few other people happy!!
