The New York Times gives its editorial page over to Trump supporters, sparking a debate
It has been a policy of mine to NEVER SAY NEVER!! Well????
The New York Times will do away with its editorial page on Thursday temporarily to run a full-page of letters from supporters of the president, a move that comes amid a tense climate in the country between the media and Trump, who has constantly assailed supposed biases at many publications since well before he was elected.
Is this the same newspaper that put a bounty in Citizen Donald Trump’s head when he was running for office? There may be a slight glimmer of hope that some FOLKS on the other side of the fence are recognizing that PDT is making a sincere effort and good progress in some areas.
I would think that this would be a shot in the arm for PDT knowing he is getting some acknowledgement for his efforts. What can be better then people working together in an peaceful environmental instead under constant hostility.
The only way to make progress in any situation is, put the old baggage in the closet, not necessarily forget about it, and try to move forward in a more positive direction.
IF, IF the New York times is sincere in possibly smoking the peace-pipe with PDT, he would be very foolish not to accept their invitation.
Needless to say; there has been so much conflict between all parties concerned, it is very hard to forgive and forget. But at this point, holding a grudge would be counterproductive.
If PDT is wise enough to turn the other cheek, again, possibly some of the other Boulder Rollers will jump on the band wagon and give the man some co-operation. Metaphorically speaking, I will agree that PDT is not without sin.
There has been plenty of wrongdoing and animosity on all sides; now is as good of a time as ever to bury the hatchet.
NEVER SAY NEVER. There looks like a small speck of hope for some reconciliation; lets us hope everyone one concerned is wise enough to take advantage of it.
There is nothing as beneficial and as wise as a person, opening their ears, eyes and mind and listening to what the other person has to say. It can be a win, win for all parties concerned.
People with tunnel vision have a very difficult time following the path of life!!
Statement from the Times:
“In the spirit of open debate, and in hopes of helping readers who agree with us better understand the views of those who don’t, we wanted to let Mr. Trump’s supporters make their best case for him as the first year of his presidency approaches its close,” it read. The newspaper said that it would follow it up with a feature of letters from Trump voters who had since become disillusioned and others reacting to the move.
Sounds sincere to me. BUTT; always make sure of one thing. When shaking hands with an adversary, always count your fingers when you pull your hand back.
