With immigrant pardons, Gov. Brown butts heads again with White House

There isn’t much to say about Jerry Brown, the former drugged out hippie, turned governor except, he is an ignorant man.

Hopefully Mr. Karma will come back and haunt him in the worst way possible for his outlandish  disregard for the law.

Since being in office, in all, Brown pardoned 132 people for mostly nonviolent and drug-related crimes, and commuted the sentences of 19 others, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Brown’s pardons involved two Northern California Cambodian men picked up in October in immigration sweeps, Mony Neth of Modesto and Rottanak Kong of Davis.

Kong was convicted on felony joyriding in 2003 in Stanislaus County at age 25 and sentenced to a year in jail. Neth was convicted on a felony weapons charge with a gang enhancement and a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property with a value of $400 or less in 1995 in Stanislaus County, The Bee said.

These two examples may not be the most severe criminal offenses BUT they are criminal offenses they were convicted of.

I don’t know if I am living in the Twilight Zone or what. Isn’t it the sworn responsibility for the authorities in this country, at all levels, to enforce the law and protect it’s citizens?  How can they justify their actions? Guess what; they don’t have to.

What is the rational of any person of authority when they purposely ignore the laws and the verdicts of a jury to reward criminals by not taking the proper action and punish them. In the cases of illegals, they should either be deported or sent to the slams.

The clemency privilege is an issue I have a big problem with.  Whether it is a president, governor or whomever,  grants any convicted criminal clemency, they are essentially thumbing their noses at the court systems.

To my way of thinking, there is no such animal as a LOW LEVEL drug dealer as people like Obama want us to believe.  In his tenure Obama gave 1,927 criminals clemency.  He called them low level criminals.

Did he ever stop to consider how many people died or were severe injured for the rest of their lives as a result of these supposed low level criminals activities?

I am not singling out Mr. O as the only offender in dishing out clemency; he is just the most aggressive of them all and did it better then the ones that came before him.

Overall, Obama granted clemency to 1,927 individuals, a figure that includes 1,715 commutations and 212 pardons.

Giving a criminal a pardon is the same as saying the crime never happened. It is totally erased from the records.  So much for justice where the victims were concerned.

Through the years, in many of the cases, either a governor or a president, there had to be many vacations, yachts bought, mansions built, cars bought, pools installed and ca$h envelopes passed around in many of these cases to buy these people their freedom.

Clemency was initially conceived for people in prison that were thought to be wrongfully convicted.  The intent was never to set free known criminals, just because some president or governor got paid off or felt like being benevolent that day.

Many of these transactions were made to reward past funding or support in their campaigns.  Jimmy Carter plagiarized it when he said; there is no such thing as a free lunch!!

For all of the presidents and governors that deliberately released or did not incarcerate known convicted criminals; they are a disgrace to the office they represent/represented.

As far a Brown is concerned; I would not expect any different from the former-hippie.

Is it possible, if one of the victims of the released criminals was a relative of Brown; would he still have given them their walking papers??  With fools like him, it is hard to tell!!
