A Louisiana mother was a creative way to punish her son for getting suspended from school: She put the boy to work for free for others while he was missing classes.
Demetris Payne quickly came up with a punishment for the son rather than letting him get a three-day holiday from school. She posted his photo on Facebook last Friday, offering its services at odd jobs for free.
“My son has been suspended for three days from school for discipline,” she wrote, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. “He will be your lawn service, he will rake your yard, mow as the mower, pick up trash, or wash your car for free. A maximum of three hours. If anyone has a rake that they would like to donate is great.”
Now this is a mother that really cares about her kid and his future. Instead of coddling the kid and making excuses for his misbehaving, she is teaching him a lesson in life. Poor conduct should come with consequences. Something the celebs and politicians should be subject to.
There should be 1,000’s more of people like Ms. Payne in the world who care enough about their kids lead them down the right path. There would be a lot fewer THUGS on the streets committing crimes.
I will bet that Demetris got his goolunies smashed pretty good by all of his rappies. That is a good thing. Maybe this tough love will rub off on some of their parents.
