Piss on them; Semper Fi Style

Court overturns Marine sniper’s conviction for urinating on dead Taliban fighters

A military court on Wednesday overturned the conviction of a former Marine sniper involved in urinating on dead Taliban soldiers in Afghanistan in 2011 after evidence emerged that a top general meddled in the case to ensure a harsh punishment, reports said.

Staff Sgt. Joseph Chamblin was convicted almost five years ago and sentenced to 30 days confinement, had his pay docked and was demoted over a video that showed the Marines urinating on enemy corpses, The Washington Post reported.

If pissing on a dead enemy solider is the worst thing a Marine or any other military person did, I would say, they should consider themselves lucky.

The USA is the only country that fights wars by a rule book. The enemy knows our weaknesses and ignorance and uses that pathetic PC mentality to their advantage.

I do not condone abusing a corpse, BUT I also do not agree on penalizing  any military  for pissing on the corpse of the enemy.  Possibly a good ass chewing just for show and tell, but a court-martial, prison time and a fine is out of the question.

The men and women in the front lines are putting their lives on the line daily to protect and defend the USA. If in the heat of battle, one of them pisses on a dead enemy solider, so be it.

The only thing that an enemy respects is if their adversaries are more violent than they are.  All the outrageous PC-ness should be taken out of combat. The only thing that matters in any war is winning. After all; 5 minutes earlier, the dead guys were trying to chop the Marines to pieces. We should classify the Marine’s actions at ; the heat of battle.

Let us put things in perspective. Take the deserter Bird-dog. He deserted – is a traitor – 5 people were killed in an attempt to find this worm – he was convicted but not given any jail time ANDDDD the military is considering giving he 300 G’s in back pay.  Is what he did worse than pissing on the enemy?

Sad to say; in many areas our military they have become very soft. As a consequence, their PC-ness plays right into the enemy’s hands. What we need more of are men like General Chesty Puller running the show.

General Puller was head and shoulders way above some of the military people now serving. They could not shine his shoes.

Lt. Gen. Lewis “Chesty” Puller, is a Marine Corps icon who’s known for his quotable quotes nearly as much as his battlefield accomplishments.

Here are 17 of the lines that show why Puller is beloved to this day:

1.

2. “Don’t forget that you’re First Marines! Not all the Communists in hell can overrun you!”

3. “You don’t hurt ’em if you don’t hit ’em.”

4.

5. “Hit hard, hit fast, hit often.”

6. “Where the Hell do you put the bayonet?”

(He said this while at a flamethrower demonstration. Apparently, Puller wanted to be ready to stab the men he set on fire.)

7.

8. “Great. Now we can shoot at those bastards from every direction.”

(Puller said the gem above after being asked to comment on the 22 Chinese divisions surrounding his First Marine division. The First Marines successfully broke through Chinese lines and advanced south, destroying seven of the Chinese divisions in the process.)

11. “There are not enough chinamen in the world to stop a fully armed Marine regiment from going where ever they want to go.”

12. “We make generals today on the basis of their ability to write a damned letter. Those kinds of men can’t get us ready for war.”

13. “Son, when the Marine Corps wants you to have a wife, you will be issued one.”

“They are in front of us, behind us, and we are flanked on both sides by an enemy that outnumbers us 29:1. They can’t get away from us now!”
– Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller, USMC
When the Marines were cut off behind enemy lines and the Army had written
the 1st Marine Division off as being lost because they were surrounded by 22
enemy divisions. The Marines made it out inflicting the highest casualty
ratio on an enemy in history and destroying 7 entire enemy divisions in the
process. An enemy division is 16500+ men while a Marine division is 12500 men.

“The mail service has been excellent out here, and in my opinion this is all that the Air Force has accomplished during the war.”

“If they start to pull back from that line, even one foot, I want you to open fire on them.”
Turning to the captain, Chesty Puller replied “Does that answer your question? We’re here to fight!” At Koto-ri in Korea

when a journalist asked him about being surrounded by 22. enemy divisions

“There are not enough chinamen in the world to stop a fully armed Marine regiment from going where ever they want to go”

I don’t think it would have bothered the general in the least if a few of his troops pissed on some gooks. He may have been standing next to them.

They do not make them like Chesty anymore. People like him are the reason the USA is now living in freedom. They did what they had to do, win a war regardless of the cost. Chesty was around years before this PC-disease put a strangle hold on this country. The military, if any place, is where PC does not belong.

What more can be said about THE MAN except, his men loved him and the enemy feared him.

While I am at it; Happy Birthday to all of the Marines that served as far back as The Tunn Tavern where it all started.  On November 10, 1775 at the Tunn Tavern in Philly is where it all come together and the Marine Corps was born.

Wikipedia:

The history of the Marine Corps began when two battalions of Continental Marines were formed on 10 November 1775 in Philadelphia as a service branch of infantry troops capable of fighting on both at sea and on shore.[13] By the mid-20th century, the U.S. Marine Corps had become a major theorist of amphibious warfare, which were utilized in the Pacific theater of World War II.[14][15][16] As of 2017, the USMC has around 185,000 active duty members and some 38,500 reserve Marines.[2] It is the smallest U.S. military service within the DoD.[17][18][19]

I can tell stories all day long about the Corps; but as the old saying goes; you had to be there to appreciate it.
