“United Shades of America” returns Sunday
I don’t know if it is just me; I am of the opinion that in some circumstances, the less said about a problem, the better the resolve is. Sometimes, we have to let nature take its course, let situations evolve by themselves.
Racism is everyone fault, not just the white man. The blacks have as much, maybe more responsibility than the white man. They are the ones that sold their own people into slavery and were some of the biggest slave owners in the country.
How can the black community be disgruntled with the current conditions IF, the BIG IF, it is their people who are committing the vast majority of the crimes? It is only good common sense.
Why does the greater part of crimes come from within the poor communities? It is because of decades of poor supervision, lack of family unity, absent of any role models; in a nutshell, these conditions all revolve around the lack of EDUCATION.
If someone kept reminding me that I was a low life scoundrel, how bad the conditions are that I was living in, how I am getting screwed by everyone around me; I too would be pissed off constantly.
The key to resolution; recognize the problems and make smart decisions through meetings of calm cool minds to resolve the problems. This has to be an all-out effort by everyone in every race to set a good example at home from the day they little critters pop their heads into the world. Once the foundation is laid and consistency is followed, the rest is automatic. We can not expect ANYONE that is raised like a thug, to someday at the age of 15, to turn it around and become a model citizen.
No one can bitch and complain about circumstances while continually doing everything they can NOT TO resolve the problems. REMEMBER: three back at you.
The answer is not more food stamps, more relief, more FREE hand-outs. The answer is, if a resolution to these problems is to come about, RESPONSIBILITY, HARD WORK, EDUCATION and becoming an example to the rest of the community. The people who are physically able and refuse to participate with the program, their water, metaphorically speaking, should be turned off.
Will this racial thing ever make a U-TURN? I don’t think so. If every parent and the government started this very day to turn the corner, it would take at least 50 years of dedicated, hard work to make it happen. I think this country is way beyond the point of no return.
The best thing that has happened to the USA in decades is PDT. Does he have a lot of faults and hang-ups? You bet he does. BUT, the BIG BUT; can we even imagine what a predicament the USA would be in right now with Bill’s bride at the helm? It is too frightening to think about.
Race relations need role models and people in high places that they admire, who will lead the way and set the example.
I keep bringing up Bill Cosby and what a great example he was to the black community; until it was revealed that he had a dark side when it came to the opposite sex. The facts still remain, he was a good man and a good role model, all except for the BIG BUT.
Cosby and people like him (there are very few) are exactly what the black community needs, instead of all the boulder rollers out there that are constantly making waves to keep the fires burning.
I feel that the news media, in general, wants to keep the racial fires burning. If not, they have nothing to write about. The more they stoke the ashes, the hotter the fire becomes.
Once again: The key is, recognize the problems and make smart decisions through peaceful meetings of the minds to resolve the problems.
DOES THE MEDIA REALLY WANT PEACE???? We all know the answer to that.
