Chicago schools CEO under fire for blaming financial woes on ‘Trump-like’ governor
There seems to be a lot of bloviating blowing around The Windy City these days.
CPS CEO Forrest Claypool announced a $46 million spending freeze as well as other possible cuts, including one for $18 million for independently run schools. The letter was filled with pointed attacks on Gov. Bruce Rauner, a Republican, whom Claypool lambasted for not doing more to give the district enough funding.
And in a move that particularly infuriated parents, and others, Claypool said that in neglecting Chicago schools, Rauner was acting like President Donald Trump.
Not that Claypool and his boss, Mr. O’s ex-right-hand-man, Rahm suffer from a well-known politicians illness called, ican’tdomyjobproperlyess; it is always the other guys fault.
COUNT YOUR FINGERS FELLAS
According to Claypool, the school system is in dire straights because it is the governor’s fault. Not his but the governors, just like the crime and murder rate in the city is not the mayor’s fault. It is always someone else fault. If you noticed, Claypool had to bring PDT’s name into his game. Very Very small Clay!!
There must be a particular lack of self-worth for many of the people like them. They are so insecure it is astounding. Secure people do not pass the buck, they take it by the horns.
When anyone assumes the position of authority, they SHOULD understand; they have to accept the good with the bad. The fact of the matter is, they know the reasons their situation are in such dissary, because of their incompetence but they are too egotistical to admit it.
This personal disorder in some human beings is called narcissism.
Narcissists are notorious for placing blame on other people and not on themselves. Even when they clearly and definitely did something wrong, they can not– and will not- accept responsibility. They almost always deflect the blame elsewhere. Narcissists either ignore their contribution to the situation or insist that the other person (spouse, child, co-worker or etc.) made them do it. Narcissists know right from wrong, they just cannot allow something bad to be their fault. It is another manifestation of their supreme self-centeredness as well as a protection for their fragile ego. It is also a primitive method of avoiding external repercussions.
Although narcissism is not a physical condition, it is a severe mental condition. Depending on their circumstances, if they are a trash collector, not too bad; if they are the president of something or other, its bad.
Unless any person does not take responsibility for their actions they can’t ever make any forward progress in their self-improvement. Why you ask?? Because nothing they do is ever their fault. But, always the BIG BUT; when situations turn out favorable, they are the first ones in the receiving line accepting credit for it.
According to public records, Mr. Claypool makes a cool $175,000.00 a year. I have always been under the impression, any person has to be productive in their positions in order to expect to get paid? I guess that rule of thumb does not apply to political positions.
175 grand a year is not peanuts especially when: CPS CEO Forrest Claypool announced a $46 million spending freeze as well as other possible cuts, including one for $18 million for independently run schools. The letter was filled with pointed attacks on Gov. Bruce Rauner, a Republican, whom Claypool lambasted for not doing more to give the district enough funding.
Sad to say, it is the same old same old for 95% of the politicians. Claypool is not a true politician but he is knocking on the door.
