Marion Christopher Barry, son of late DC mayor, dies from apparent overdose:
By the looks of this picture, Marion Barry Jr loved and admired his father tremendously and wanted to follow in his footsteps. That he did but the deadly footsteps that followed lead him to an early grave.
Marion Christopher Barry, the son of the late Washington D.C. mayor Marion Barry, died early Sunday, authorities said. He was 36.
Take a look at this good-looking young man that had his whole life ahead of him but because he wanted to be just like his father, he cashed in early.
The junior Barry died after he smoked synthetic drug K-2 along with PCP. According to witnesses; Barry stepped outside for a smoke and never returned.
What can be the worst thing a parent do for their kid? Setting a bad example. It appears that the ex-mayor was a pro at that.
The senior Barry was caught RED HANDED on video tape smoking dope in a motel room accompanied by a hooker.
Barry claimed; The Bitch set him up.
Like in most cases; when someone is caught with their tit in a wringer, they deny it to the max. We have seen 1,000’s of such examples of just that in recent political times. The sad part is; many are beating the system because of their political and social connections.
The senior Barry, who was probably a decent guy until he got caught up in his importance, lead a very active life in many areas, some good and some bad. He like many other people who achieve some sort of power or status in life; the let it go to their head.
All of sudden, with all of the power and wealth they have at their disposal they start misusing it to the hilt by partying – living lavish styles – hanging with the wrong crowds and getting into illegal activities. Many times the big money they are making is not enough to support the front and they have to start dipping their dirty little fingers into places they shouldn’t be.

Power – money – privilege – politics – high rolling – bad crowds all leads down the dark road to destruction. It is a road that many foolish people have taken and wind up in the ditch. There are a few of them that beat the system but hopefully in the end, they meet their Waterloo, either with a direct consequences to them or to their loved one.
Barry Sr. was married 4 times but only had one child Marion who sadly died last night doing what his dad did.
It has to be the ultimate insult/payoff/payback when a kid follows the poor examples their parents set for them and wind up dying at a young age.
If for no other reason; a good parent should do whatever it takes to set standards and good examples for their kids to follow. It has nothing to do with the financial status of a family; this applies to the rich and the poor alike. There are many good poor or underprivileged people that are very good parents.
Mankind is very complex. Take the dirt-bag Bernie He made off with the Money Madoff. People like Madoff don’t have a heart or a soul, all they know is greed. He was so selfish, all he thought of was his own greed and not the disgrace he would eventually bring down on his family.
Madoff is another one that lost a son at an early age. This guy got the ultimate payback for his sins when his son Mark committed suicide because of the shame his father brought on the family. For all intents and purposes, his son’s death probably had little to no effect on the thief with no heart.

The Madoff investment scandal was a major case of stock and securities fraud which was discovered in late 2008. In December of that year, Bernard Madoff, the former NASDAQ Chairman and founder of the Wall Street firm Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC, admitted that the wealth management arm of his business was an elaborate Ponzi scheme.
Madoff founded the Wall Street firm Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC in 1960, and was its Chairman until his arrest. The firm employed Madoff’s brother Peter as Senior Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer, Peter’s daughter Shana Madoff as rules and compliance officer and attorney, and Madoff’s sons Andrew and Mark. Peter has since been sentenced to 10 years in prison, and Mark committed suicide by hanging exactly two years after his father’s arrest.
Alerted by his sons, federal authorities arrested Madoff on December 11, 2008. On March 12, 2009, Madoff pleaded guilty to 11 federal crimes and admitted to operating the largest private Ponzi scheme in history. On June 29, 2009, he was sentenced to 150 years in prison with restitution of $170 billion. According to the original federal charges, Madoff said that his firm had “liabilities of approximately US$50 billion”. Prosecutors estimated the size of the fraud to be $64.8 billion, based on the amounts in the accounts of Madoff’s 4,800 clients as of November 30, 2008. Ignoring opportunity costs and taxes paid on fictitious profits, half of Madoff’s direct investors lost no money.
Prosecutors calculate that Madoff swindled a whopping 64.8 BBBBillion dollars from investors; the largest Ponzi scheme ever perpetrated in the world. How much money does one person need?
As an example of the magnitude of what 64 billion dollar equates to. 64,000,000,000 divided by 319 million (population of the USA) equals a staggering 200.62 for every man- women and child in this country. That is some serious money in anyone’s books.
Many of the people the scumbag swindled were very close friends – families – charitable organizations. One day they were living in a penthouse in Miami and the next week under a bridge in LA. This did not faze Madoff in the least.
His popularity was so out of control at it’s peek; it was considered an honor if the bastard would grant an audience to a prospective investor.
The Ponzi scheme was named after an Italian guy Charles Ponzi who was known to be one of the first person to pull off this devious (very intelligent) caper that made him millions of dollars until the bottom dropped out from under him.
All of the people who behave in this manner are prime examples of a narcissistic personality disorder. They have no regard for anyone else well-being but themselves. Some people may even label it the politiciansisistic affliction.
Be that as it may; we are all products of our environment and for the most part, many of us follow in their parent’s footsteps or the examples they set. Looking around these days; that is not saying much for the future of this country.
To all the parents out there with half a brain. Stop and take a good look at your lifestyle; your kids are watching you very closely. Be a good parent first, a good role model and then a friend. Your kids life may depend on it.
Are you too self-absorbed to care?? If so, shame on you.
It is deplorable that people like Marion Barry’s son had such poor examples set for them in life. No kid should ever go before the parents, especially under these conditions.
