Happy Thanksgiving to ALL the good citizens in the USA.
Thanksgiving should not about how much turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, with all the other trimming, beer and wine we can jam down our throats then crash into our favorite recliner watching the GAME. It should be a day when all American people stop for a few minutes and realize just what a good life most of us have, enjoying all the freedoms afforded to us by living in the USA.
Does the USA have it’s share of troubles? Absolutely yes but we have created the majority of them ourselves. Being that we caused these unacceptable situations, it is up to us to correct them.
One consideration that is always first and foremost in my mind when I am making a critical decision; how will this affect my kids, there kids and future generations?
If there were more concerned citizen in this country that used the same example/mindset, the social climate in the USA would be a hell of a lot better then it is. Some of the dilemmas we are suffering with would be non-existent. The offenders have to start taking the words selfish and greed out of their vocabulary.
I don’t want to get philosophical on Turkey Day; I just want to wish all Americans a Happy Thanksgiving and impress upon them that changes for a better, safer America can be made if everyone pulls in the same direction.
RESPECT and EDUCATION are the key words to the success or failure in any society. People educated (I am not talking about Rhodes Scholars) in the health and welfare of mankind are not terrorists – not drug pushers – not mass murderers – not child molesters or involved in any other illicit activity.
People that are brought up learning how to RESPECT others, not matter what their religion is – what nationality is – what color their skin is – what they philosophies are do not wind up in prison – as terrorists – drug pushers – or phedophiles.
I don’t care what religion you are – what nationality you are – what your skin color is; I will respect you if you respect me. FOLKS it is just that simple. If you are too self centered and living that kind of selfish life, do it for the kids.
FOLKS we have messed it up ; it is up to us to FIX it up.
If we want our children – grandchildren and their kids to grow up in a dysfunctional society; then why change. Attempting the hide the facts that we do not have major problems is never going to correct the situations. Make a move; don’t just talk about it. It always has to start at the top.
Those two words; RESPECT and EDUCATION if implemented by everyone in the world can change our lives forever!!! We can make the difference.
GOBBLE – GOBBLE – GOBBLE
I said it before and I will say it again; how can something so ugly taste so good????
Don’t eat too much but always save room for the pumpkin pie and ham later in the day.
