Floyd Mayweather is living proof that; you cannot put a silk suit on a hog.
Take away the money and he is nothing but a narcissistic bag of wind.
If for some reason this dude went bust; his entourage would scatter as if a leper from Kalaupapa walked into a room.
There is no denying that he is one hell of a fighter but as a regular guy, a human being, someone to have a cup of coffee with; he is on the 1st rung of a 10’ step ladder. If you want to know what a great guy he is just ask him.
Regardless of his talent Mayweather has a hard time getting companies to sponsor him because of his arrogance and his domestic violence history.
Not only does he kick ass in the ring but he seems to have a disdain for the opposite sex that he uses for a heavy bag from time to time.
He served two months in jail in 2012 for attacking the mother of his 9- and 10-year old sons in front of them. He’s also pleaded guilty or was found guilty on domestic violence charges in 2001, 2002 and 2003, serving suspended sentences and house arrest. A former fiancée is suing him over allegations that he beat and threatened her for two years.
To add to his already heavy bank roll Mayweather is expected to make in the neighborhood of 120 million in tomorrow night’s fight against Pacquiao.
I have seen tickets as much as $60,000.00 each on the floor and $5,800 for the nosebleed seats. These have to be record sale for any fight.
What I would like to see is a knockout in a 1.5 minute of the first round so all of the high roller fight fans that got sucked into supporting this very wealthy braggadocious bum get their money’s worth.
What I know about boxing; I would not be a bit surprised if Mayweather throws the fight deliberately so they can set up a rematch; although The Philippine Prince has the ability to beat him outright.
Lets face it; if THE BOYS could fix the World Series in 1919 this should be a walk in the park. Remember the Ali and Liston fight with the knockout punch no on saw.
Good luck to Pacquiao who is one hell of a guy that walks softly and carries a big stick.
Expanded evening edition: I could not agree more.
