What a sad state of affairs for any city to be in. It does look like one of Obama’s liberal rappies has got things under control.
Rahm Emanuel like so many other politicians when elected was supposed to clean up The Windy City but it doesn’t seem that he has done a very good job of it. I don’t minimize the difficulty of the task but it is not a job for the faint of heart. Please does not cut it.
Authorities in Mexico made the mistake years back of trying to contain/control the gangs and the drug trade hoping they would confine their activities to a couple of select areas. The windup was, eventually the gangs and drug pushers became more powerful in their wealth and accumulation of weapons and became more powerful than the government.
Sooner or later the authorities hopefully will learn that there is no PC way of dealing with hardened criminals. PC-ness is not in their dictionary.
A word to the wise should be sufficient. Smart people should learn by others mistakes. The key word being smart.
