Superstorm Sandy, 6 months later: N.J. gov. says Obama “kept every promise” on storm aid:
This is a good piece of news coming from one of Obama’s s most vocal opponents.
HIGHLANDS, N.J. Gov. Chris Christie said Monday that President Barack Obama “has kept every promise he’s made” about helping the state recover from Superstorm Sandy.
Whether it was a co-incident or not three hours after Christi’s conference Obama’s housing secretary approved New Jersey’s plans to spend $1.83 billion in federal money to help the state rebuild and recover from the storm.
This is what we need more of in government; people keeping their promises and cutting out the partisanship.
Christie held a news conference in a local eatery and made this comment on Obama coming through; “When it comes to helping New Jersey rebuild from the storm, “the president has kept every promise he’s made,” said Christie, widely considered a potential candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. “I think he’s done a good job. He kept his word.”
Gotta tell it like it is. It is about time I something positive to blog about!!!!!!!
I have a hard time believing Governor Christi’s comment that Obama has delivered everything that Christi asked. If this is the case then why do we still have so many many people who are still waiting for service not only in NJ but also in NY. It would be nice to have a score card on the progress vs a political comment by a guy who is getting ready to run again.
