Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says milk could hit $7 a gallon:
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack says if a new farm bill isn’t passed in Congress, milk prices could hit $7 a gallon.
Talk about shake-down artists. I would say that the farmers have the country by the “short hair”. Either they get a new farm billed passed or they raise the price of milk to $7.00 a gallon. In some circles I think tactics like this would be labeled, extortion, blackmail, a license to steal and robbing someone without a mask.
The fact of the matter is; farmers are pissed off at the leaders in DC just like the rest of the country is but they want to penalize the American public by raising the milk to double its price to put the pressure on the DC lallygaggers to act on their new farm bill. This has nothing to do with the cost of milk.
Instead of running their giant farm equipment down Pennsylvania Ave in protest as the farmers have done before, they are putting the heat on the American public because they cannot get their representatives off their asses.
The excuse congress gives for not acting a new farm bill is that they have been too busy with the “fiscal cliff” deal.
They really try to insult peoples intelligence. These issues do not just surface last week. The last farm bill that was passed was in 2008.
“Procrastinating politicians”. This is a list of the time off congress gets each year.
It is now wonder that they do not have enough time to do anything constructive. These figures do not include coffee breaks, extended lunches and long weekends they take when the stress of the job gets to them.
The frustration throughout our country is mounting every day. The resolutions to these problems should be to vote these sand-baggers out of office but it seems that some of the American people are either uninformed, compliant, lazy, ignorant, gullible or just plain stupid. Maybe all of the above. They keep electing the same bunch of “professional political pimps” back into office time after time.
When a person analyzes what makes some of these politicians tick; there can only be one conclusion. They are reminiscent of the rich kids that either came from the Kennedy, Rockefeller, Getty, Firestone or some other prominent families that have been spoiled all their lives and really don’t know what it is like to live on the other side of the fence.
They have forgotten where they came from and what their mission was when they were elected to office.
It is all about ego and power. I am sure that there are a small number of politicians that are concerned for the American public but they are grossly out number.
Serpico the movie, with Al Pacino is a great example of a good guy that wanting to chance the corrupt system and found out that it is almost an impossible task. Well worth watching if you have not seen it.
Wikipedia:
Based on the non-fiction book by Peter Maas, the film covers twelve years (from 1960 to June 15, 1972) in the life of Frank Serpico, a NYPD officer who wants to do the best he can as a policeman. Working as a uniformed patrolman, Serpico succeeds in every assignment. He moves on to plainclothes assignments, where he slowly discovers a hidden world of illicit activities among his own colleagues. After witnessing cops doing drugs, committing violence, taking paybacks and other forms of police corruption, Serpico decides to expose what he’s seen, but he is harassed and threatened. The struggle leads to infighting within the police force, problems in his personal relationships, and life-threatening situations. Finally, after being shot in the face during a drug bust on February 3, 1971, he testifies before the Knapp Commission, which was a government inquiry into police corruption between 1970 and 1972.
The clincher to this true story was that some of Serpico’s fellow officers would not come to his aid when he got shot in the face and turned their back on him. Now does that sound like a familiar scenario? This is exactly what the “DC Destroyers “ are doing to the American public; turning their backs in the people.
I guess the moral of the story is; “this is the way things are” so get used to it. It is a tough pill to swallow.
I hope that there are a lot of people in this country that like eating their cereal with water.
All I can say; the people that represent us in DC should hang their heads in shame. When they get their very health pay checks they should walk backwards to the teller window because this is the way they conduct their daily business.
Speaking of pay checks.
Now this has to be a gigantic, absolute punch in the stomach, slap in the face, sign of their disregard for the American public, egotism at its finest, selfishness at its pinnacle, total disregard for anyone else and the biggest insult any group of people could possibly perpetrate on their fellow citizens. It is despicable and unconscionable that these “over paid, under worked” government employees can vote themselves a raise when there are a large number of people they represent that have their backs against the financial walls!

Looking for a job where being unproductive and ineffective won’t hurt your chances of getting a raise? Try being a member of Congress!
Despite getting less done than any previous Congress since the 1940s, President Obama issued an executive order Thursday that would give pay raises to every member of the House and Senate, as well as federal workers, beginning March 27, 2013. This marks the first pay increase for Congress in more than three years.
News of the raise comes as congressional Democrats and Republicans try to cobble together a last-minute solution to fix the nation’s burgeoning budget crisis.
Fiscal cliff? What fiscal cliff?
The Hill:
Congressmen and senators make $174,000 a year and will see an extra $900 in their annual pay packages before taxes next year.
Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will get $224,600 next year, up from $223,500, while Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) will take in $194,400, up from $193,400.
Vice President Biden will also get a raise, and take home $231,900 before taxes next year.
These arrogant, egotistical, supercilious politicians are without a doubt a hell of a lot worse than I ever thought they could be. There are literally spitting in the face of the citizens of our country.
They remind me of the some of the dictators around the world that are living high on the hog while their subjects are starving. They do not have any conception what the word shame means.
Where is what Webster has to say about it:
SHAME
A painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior – disgrace – dishonor – ignominy – opprobrium. I could not have said it better myself.
I say what they are doing boarders on being criminal.
They remind me of a guy I used to know. While he was in the dining room eating Filet Mignon and lobster tails his kids were in the other room eating hamburgers.
There should be a new name anointed on our representatives in Washington. From here after they should be referred to from here on as “The Den of Thieves”.
Happy New Year – Tap water is a lot cheaper.
