Trump’s troubled tower: anatomy of financial meltdown:
Dirty Dealing Donald is the new handle for the “King of Pomade”.
“Beware of a wolf in sheep’s clothing” is the slogan the investors in Fort Lauderdale, Florida should have been in tune with before they signed on the dotted line.
The Donald put his name over the front door of an ocean liner shaped building and in ink to attract investors. “If it’s named after Trump and he is touting it, how bad can it be”? Hundreds of investors laid down big money for a chance to break bread with the King of “you’re fired”.
It was a bad time in the financial world and the venture didn’t pan out the way it was expected to.
As the $200,000,000.00 building that is $ 185,000,000.00 in the red stands empty on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean with no one inside to appreciate the view, the investors are trying to get their coins back.
A while back when Donny, with his financial intuition saw that the hammer was going to drop, crept up to the building in the middle of the night and had his name removed from the structure. What a “Pearl Harbor” he pulled on all the poor suckers he dragged into the venture.
It seems that these days there are a quite a few captains abandoning their ships leaving everyone to fend for them self.
I would have thought that a man of Donny’s stature would have a little more polish than that. The least he could have done was take all of the “fish” he fished in out to dinner on one of his yachts before throwing them to the sharks.
To top it off, there is some conversation that there were some mobsters from the Big Apple tied into the deal. That could be the reason Donny bailed out early. He didn’t want to wear a set of concrete shoes and go to sleep with the fish.
