Social silence

(CNN) — The bodies of three men have been found in shallow graves in eastern Ohio, all of them believed to have been killed after answering a Craigslist ad to work on a cattle farm, according to authorities.

The Summit County medical examiner’s office on Saturday identified one of the victims as Timothy Kern of Massillon, Ohio. The 47-year-old’s death, caused by “gunshot wounds to the head,” was ruled a homicide, the office said in an audio recording.

When are the people in our society, young and old alike going to wake up and quit putting every move they make and their entire life story on the internet? They are either naive, lonely, gullible, to trusting or all of the above.

There is one thing that I pride myself in, having an abundance of street sense. I was lucky enough to grow up in a neighborhood that required that as a matter of survival.

It is not necessary to have your Doctorate, Masters or any other degree that is available for educational purposes to come out of this life in one piece.

If a person does not have common sense or street sense they are up a creek without a paddle. Be able to detect danger. If it smells like a rat it probably is one.

These social networks have completely gotten out of hand. I don’t think that their initial intent was for Martha to “update” her information by tell Sally that she is going to Giant Eagle to buy a loaf of bread. Or for Betty to tell her sister that she is about to take a shower. This is exactly what is happening. People are watching your every move.

Folks that “post” all of their activities online have to understand that there are thousands of wackos out there just wait for some pretty little thing to depict all of her social details. They are sitting at their computers like a hungry wolf, salivating with their tongue hanging out ready to make a move on their next prey.

I know that writing this is equivalent to a father or mother telling their kid who is 13 years old what to do and what not to do. It goes in one ear and other the other. That is after the kid mumbles something under their breath and gives the parent that look that all parents are familiar with.“It can’t happen to me”. Famous last words.

Kids, start listening to what your parents tell you. They are telling you about situations that are based on their life experiences. Hopefully the parent in not a nut case. Lots of them around.

My advice to the loose fingered (typing your life away) people, young and old that want to spill their guts to the world, BEWARE.

Quit putting your every move on the inter-net.

Do you realize that millions of people know every step you are taking? Use these social sites for fun not as a public address system.

SAFETY TIPS:

Always look behind you when you are walking somewhere. If you think someone is following you, run like hell into a public place or to a house that is occupied screaming your head off. Rather look foolish then end up with you name on the front page.

Look under your car and in the back seat before you get in it. Absolutely, do not trust anyone until they have earned your trust. If you happened to become a victim, poke their eyes out, hit them with anything within reach, scream, punch, kick, scratch, bite and kick them in the nuts. It is most likely that this person will kill you after they have had their fun.

If you are afraid or reluctant to do any of the above just hand the degenerate a base ball bat or a gun and let them kill you. That is invariably what they are going to do anyway.
It may take you out of your comfort zone to do any of these grotesque things. It is either you or them!

Like Smokey the Bear used to say “the life you save may be your own”. Cry about it when it’s all over and you are safe.

My personal opinion is, everyone on the planet should know how to defend themselves.
Find a good martial arts or self-defense school that does not sell belts and that gives their student a false sense of achievement. Get an instructor that teaches the nuts and bolts of self defense. Nothing fancy, just effective.

I hope that a few people that read this will take heed. Pass it on.

If you don’t think it can happen to you, you are nuts!!!
