(Reuters) – A priest accused of producing child pornography was welcomed into a young victim’s home and included in numerous children’s activities because a bishop kept evidence related to the priest a secret, according to a lawsuit filed on Wednesday.

Who is the biggest sinner? The lowlife, scumbag, degenerate, perverted, depraved, deviant piece of dog turd priest that committed the sick acts against the kids or the people that covered them up?

Maybe, maybe there can be a case made for the sicko priest that committed these acts because they have to have a screw loose in there head but the people that covered up these degenerate acts all did it in the name of MONEY!!!

This twisted behavior has been going on for a long long time but I think it has become more prevalent in the last 20-30 years as the morality of the “modern” world we live in is going down the tubes.

When I was growing up in the early 40’s there were certain guide lines set down by our parents and people of authority that we obeyed.

We were taught to respect and trust, teachers, policemen, camp counselors, older people, nuns in Catholic school and mostly Catholic priests. I can’t ever remember hearing about any sexual abuse associated with the Catholic Church back then. I am sure that there were isolated incidents but they had to be far and few between. Today it is an epidemic.

Who would have ever thought that “the men of the cloth”, someone that is supposed to represent god here on earth would be some of the biggest predators on the planet?

This is the guy that practicing Catholics kneel before in little smelly boxes and tell their sins

I read a couple of years ago about a Catholic priest molested over 200 deaf kids. His punishment was to send this predator to Ireland to retire and hide out with a full pension. I guess laws do not apply to religious groups. Their punishment for their misdeeds should be harsher than the average criminal.

He should have been sent to Rutgers Island with some of the most hardened criminals in the country, introduced to Bo Bo and his boys and I bet he would have gotten an education very quickly on what it is like to be molested.

The Catholic Church can never recover as long as its Holy Shepherd is seen as a black sheep in the ever-darkening sex abuse scandal

Now we learn the sickening news that Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, nicknamed “God’s Rottweiler” when he was the church’s enforcer on matters of faith and sin, ignored repeated warnings and looked away in the case of the Rev. Lawrence C. Murphy, a Wisconsin priest who molested as many as 200 deaf boys.
The church has been tone deaf and dumb on the scandal for so long that it’s shocking, but not surprising, to learn from The Times’s Laurie Goodstein that a group of deaf former students spent 30 years trying to get church leaders to pay attention.

Am I and about 10,000,000 other people are missing something or is there something out of kilter in this stories? Send a child molester for a life time of luxury and freedom after they have committed one of the; if not the most hideous crimes on the planet?

I would never imply that all priests fall into this unenviable category because certainly the vast majority of them are very honorable people and take their vows seriously. Without question, those who knew about the abuses are as guilty or guiltier then the perpetrators.

Now we have the scandal at Penn State University. It is a crying shame that the people who knew about Sandusky’s deviant acts kept their mouths shut for the sake of hurting the college’s reputation. That all backfired on them, inevitability hurting the college more than if they would have reported the crimes at the time the occurred.

It can be said that what Penn State did by covering up the scandal was the mirror image of what the Catholic Church did, all for the sake of the dollar.

For all the good that Joe Paterno did through the years and he really did, unfortunately the only thing that he is going to be remembered by most is that he did not report this low life sinner into the proper authorities.
